The design brief was to create a 3-in-1 hiking jacket with a slightly longer cut, a comparatively light weight and solid, basic detailing
The result was the COLD VALLEY, a robust yet relatively light shell jacket in waterproof and breathable TEXAPORE 4x4 TASLITE teamed with a warm inner jacket in 200 quality fleece.
The detailing is basic rather than lavish a hood and two pockets making the COLD VALLEY a great option for the confirmed purist.

A waterproof, breathable and robust weather protection material. It has a similar abrasion resistance and durability to our classic TEXAPORE TASLAN 2L but is slightly lighter.
Hydrostatic head: 4000 mm; moisture vapour transmission rate (MVTR): 4000 g/m²/24 h.
BASIC HOOD
The BASIC HOOD is usually detachable. It is attached well down the collar of the jacket using press studs or a zipper and forms a reliable weatherproof unit with the jacket itself.
The hood can be adjusted to give an exact fit, with hook & loop tabs and/or a draw cord system for individual adjustment of the field of vision and volume, and thus follows the natural turning movement of the head.
An integrated peak that stands proud of the hood enhances the weather protection.

inner jacket:
warm, robust and very versatile NANUK 200
A universal and multipurpose polyester fleece with a velour (short pile) structure on both sides for medium heat retention. Ideal for summer mountaineering or as an extra layer of insulation in the winter.
The fleece is soft and fluffy to the touch. It is also durable, easy to clean and fast drying. NANUK 200 is JACK WOLFSKINs own brand.
