Beat the January blues in Jack Wolfskin’s Routeburn Pro Insulated Jacket

Happy New Year from all at BCH Camping.
After all the festivities and mayhem of the Christmas period, are you fully prepared for what is commonly known as the most depressing month of the year? Yes, this blog has swiftly taken a bit of a downturn (don’t worry, it will pick back up shortly!), but January does have form for being a tough month, primarily because of the combination of weather, the comedown from Christmas and financial worries.
You will most probably have heard of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder). It is also known as ‘winter depression’, and is most prevalent in December, January and February. The monotonous grey skies and cold temperatures of January can have a direct impact on mental health.
As a company that directly serves and helps consumers, at BCH Camping we see seasonal patterns that affect our customers so it is important that we have empathy and understand their needs. As an outdoor clothing and equipment provider, SAD is certainly on our radar, particularly because we know how much our products can be used to help alleviate the symptoms.
If you, or anyone you know is showing signs of SAD, get yourself and/or them outdoors. Even if the weather isn’t great, as long as you’re wearing the right clothing, just being outside in the fresh air will help to blow away the seasonal blues.
This is where we come in (it’s OK, the important but depressing bit is now done!).
We stock products from many well known outdoor clothing brands including Jack Wolfskin. A favourite Jack Wolfskin jacket with BCH Camping customers for hiking in cold conditions is the Routeburn Pro insulated jacket.
Despite its wealth of technical features that offer reliable protection from the cold, the Routeburn Pro looks and feels like a regular men’s coat. It therefore offers a fantastic return on investment to both regular hikers and those who prefer to take shorter walks around their local area.
Walking and hiking are hugely helpful in relieving anxieties and mental health conditions such as SAD, or for simply beating the January blues. If you would like advice on clothing, footwear and equipment that can help you get outdoors walking or hiking, just get in touch with our team at websales@bchcamping.co.uk or by calling 01225 764977.
Remember, the adventure starts with BCH Camping!
