The Mestic Mac-40 cool box

“How is the Mestic Mac-40 cool box going to save me this summer?”, we hear you ask.

The Mestic Mac 40 is unique in that it is a three way fridge. It can run off butane gas, or 12v or 240v electric power. This means if you’re wild camping, or simply in a location without an electric hookup but you do have a gas canister, you can keep your drinks and food cold.

Benefits of the Mestic Mac-40 cool box

·        The Mestic Mac-40 has a generous 42 litre capacity, which can accommodate 2 litre bottles. The total capacity is considered enough to keep food and drink cold for 3 to 4 people

·        Food and drink is kept up to 25° lower than the ambient temperature

·        The three ways in which the Mestic Mac-40 can be operated are:

o   230v electricity on the campsite

o   12v electricity in the car

o   Gas – use a mix of propane and butane gas with a pressure of 30 mbar for optimum gas operation

The performance of the cool box is the same, regardless of whether you use gas or electricity to operate it

·        Despite its size and performance, the Mestic Mac 40 is extremely quiet. This is thanks to its absorption cooling system which produces very little noise. This is a huge benefit when you want to enjoy the sounds of nature

·        A built-in spirit level tells you when the cool box is standing level which is needed for optimum performance

·        The dimensions are 47cm x 52cm x 48cm (height x width x depth)

·        Weight: 18.5kg
