Available from BCH Camping in the aptly named colour, Adrenaline Red, this 3 in 1 jacket covers all bases and offers versatility in abundance.
The Jack Wolfskin Jasper 3 in 1 jacket for men
The men’s Jack Wolfskin Jasper 3 in 1 jacket is your classic winter waterproof that has an inner jacket and an outer jacket. There are therefore three ways in which the jacket can be worn:- Inner only
- Outer only
- Inner and outer combined
The outer jacket
The outer shell jacket is made from a soft Texapore Smoothlight 2L fabric that is extra soft. It is waterproof, windproof and breathable with a water column rating of 10,000mm. This means that a column of water containing 10,000mm would not penetrate the jacket.Jack Wolfskin have thought of everything in the design of the Jasper 3 in 1 jacket, including the reinforced shoulders that can withstand wear and tear when carrying a backpack.
To accommodate changing weather conditions, there is a detachable hood, the volume and field of vision of which can be adjusted accordingly. The mesh lining is eco-dyed, and the microfibre lining has a logo print.
When working hard, the venting zips under the arms offer much needed ventilation to keep you fresh. All zips are water resistant, and there is an adjustable hem. There are two hand pockets, two chest pockets and a secret pocket to stash personal items.
The combined weight of the outer and inner jacket is 1230g with a back length of 75cm for a size medium.
The inner jacket
The Jack Wolfskin Jasper 3 in 1 inner jacket is made from Stormlock Ripstop which is a very light, breathable windproof fabric with ripstop reinforcement threads and a water repellent finish.The inner jacket is insulated by Microguard Ecosphere 140g/m² and 120g/m² which is very warm insulation made from recycled synthetic fibres.
As with the outer jacket, the microfibre lining carries a logo print. The inner jacket has two hand pockets.
Due to the intuitive design and insulation properties of the inner jacket, when worn on its own it provides impressive protection and warmth. On hikes of varying terrain or changing weather conditions, being able to wear the inner jacket on its own can be a significant bonus to walkers who become too hot in the outer jacket.
The Jasper 3 in 1 jacket technologies
100% PFC Free
PFCs (per- and poly-fluoride chemicals) are used on the surfaces of waterproof clothing to make them water-repellent. As it is still unclear which PFCs are degradable, Jack Wolfskin took the decision to remove them from their entire collection.Texapore
Texapore refers to ‘hardshell’ materials which means they are always waterproof, windproof and breathable, thanks to the water-repellent coating and a waterproof membrane or PU coating on the inside.Microguard Ecosphere
This is a quick-drying, synthetic fibre filling made of 100% recycled polyester that offers a high degree of heat retention.Bluesign® product
