Lighter than the ever popular Makalu, the Makalu Cork lite is an absolute gem of a walking pole. Sold in a pair, these lightweight poles offers maximum grip and control for downhill terrain thanks to the Aergon Air's cork, grip. The nice thing about a cork handle is that because it's great at absorbing moisture, the handle retains it's grip even when wet. The inclined angle supports your wrist for optimal guidance and placement of the pole, ensuring safety while hiking.
Adjustment is really easy with the Speed Lock Plus system, simply unclip, extend to desired height and then lock by pushing the clip back over. No more twisting.
In terms of setting up your poles, If you can get a 90 degree angle from your forearm to your upper arm then Leki poles are proven to take the stress off of you joints, from your ankles all the way up to hips and beyond.
